GOLF ENTHUSIASTS DRIVING CYPRUS FORWARD

With golf in the UK probably at its most popular, Cyprus has been quick on the up take to plan and create more International standard golf courses. This long term plan has certainly paid dividends as more and more golfers from the UK now visit Cyprus with its all year round climate and this has had major benefits on the tourist economy and has led to an increased number of Brits buying golf side properties.

Cyprus already has a number of premier golf courses which have proved extremely popular and this has led to a new type of investor looking to reap the rewards from strong capital appreciation and an all year round rental opportunity. It is estimated that in golf course properties that up to 30% of their market value is attributed to its location. More and more investors view golf properties especially at the off plan stage as one of the best investments around.

Currently Cyprus has over 30 applications from private investors filed with the planning committee for additional golf courses. 14 of which are expected to be completed over the next few years making Cyprus a leading contender for golf enthusiasts the world over. Once completed Cyprus will evolve as premier golf location which is expected to rival traditional golf destinations such as Spain and Portugal. Capital growth in Cyprus is still at a healthy 10% per annum and this figure can only be helped by continued growth particularly in golf side properties.
