Pirgos (The Tower) Hadjisavvas in Mitilene

1. General View:

It is a traditional Tower of special value and beauty with excellent surrounding and very good landscape at a very nice area of Mytilene. The building although old (more than 100 years old) it is very well maintained and in excellent operation and functioning  aa the owners visit the house very often.

 2. Walls Static - structure

The structure of the house consists of stone walls of 50 to 60 cm of thickness at the basement, at the floors there are a special construction named sahnisinia (wooden construction in overhang. There is no internal or external cracks that could create any problem to the static structure of the house. There is in two points at the basement  some small defects at the plaster externally that are no alarming and can easily be repaired.   

3. Roof

The house has a wooden roof of tiles without any damages or leakages. Inside there are wooden ceilings in very good condition..

4.Floors

At the second and first floor the floor is wooden without any damage or problem. At the basement the floor is ceramic with traditional design. The veranda of the first floor has a floor of marble in good condition.

5.Doors - windows 

All the frames of doors and windows are wooden. The windows have inside and outside  shutters wooden paneled (external) with glass (internal) all in good condition as all have been maintained and painted very recently. The doors are wooden massif and painted with varnish at their natural color.  

6.Furniture  

All the house is furnished with old furniture (antiques) in very good condition.

7.Electrical installation

The electrical network is traditional (external cables and rotating switches) in perfect good functioning and operation. With no problems The lighting is also old and traditional but operational in complete harmony with the furniture.

8. Heating installation 

Heating is with diesel burner, there are heating radiators in all rooms functioning without any problem.

9. Air conditioning

Air conditioning equipment in a traditional Tower is not recommended therefore there is no air conditioning installation. There is only one mobile unit for air conditioning at one bed room at the second floor.  

10. Stairs

The communication between the floors of the house is done by wooden stairs in very good condition.

11. Surrounding  area - Garden

The surrounding area is very well designed with stone pavement and level well constructed. There is a garden with fruit tress and a green  area with grass as there is  a gardener who maintains the garden constantly. The garden has two walls with enough water.

12. Parking

There is enough space for parking 8 cars with a door controlled remotely with a computer.
